Individual Coaching

All effective leaders need multiple sources of support. Some have a therapist. Some have a relationship with a spiritual director. Some have mentors, trusted friends, or covenant groups. All these are important, but coaching is a little different in the assumption that the expertise for the chosen focus comes from you, and not from the coach.

A fundamental assumption of coaching is that the one being coached—you—are creative, resourceful, and the expert on your own life. The job of the coach is to listen deeply and ask guiding questions so that you gain awareness and clarity about what you really want or about what needs to change in order for you to move forward.

At the end of each coaching session, you will be guided to design an action plan. Often this plan consists of one next step, no matter how small. Small steps, chosen over time, create a transformative path!
